Consulting and Support
Most small businesses don't have IT staff and need a supplier that can be relied on to resolve IT problems or even provide strategic advice. Shadowfax offers a variety of support services to suit your needs whatever the size of your business. These include fixed-price support agreements and ad-hoc support as required. One of our more popular plans is the Remote IT Support service.
Consulting
Shadowfax offers consulting services for many products and technologies. You may be planning the addition of a new server, an upgrade from Windows NT4.0 to Active Directory with Windows 2003 or the introduction of wireless networking. Shadowfax provides consulting services to review your requirements and recommend and implement the appropriate solution.
Ad-Hoc Support
You may have a particular issue or problem to resolve. With Ad-Hoc Support a suitably qualified support engineer will be sent to your office to deal with the problem. Travel time is not charged, you only pay for the time spent on site by the engineer. In some cases a fixed price can be quoted to provide you with reassurance that costs won't escalate out of control.
With this service you receive unlimited remote IT support for any issue that affects your server or operation of your network for a fixed price. This might be by telephone where our engineers talk you through the resolution of the the problem or by remote access where they remotely connect to your network and resolve the issues for you. The type of issues that might be covered include setting up new accounts, e-mail problems, changing passwords, setting up new printers and freeing up disk space.
In addition, every normal working day an engineer will remotely connect to your server and check the following items. Any problems discovered will be corrected or you will be advised how to resolve the issue (e.g. you may need to buy extra disk space):
-
Correct operation of backups
-
The latest virus definitions are downloaded
-
Run Windows Update on servers to ensure that the latest critical updates issued by Microsoft have been downloaded and installed
-
Check there is adequate free disk space on servers
